The dangers, uses and potential threats posed by this chemical, Dihydrogen Monoxide, are widespread, and some feel, terrifying. Here is just a small taste of what Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is:

• Dihydrogen Monoxide has been found in our rivers, lakes, oceans and streams
• Dihydrogen Monoxide is a major component of acid rain
• Thousands die each year after inhaling dihydrogen monoxide
• Dihydrogen Monoxide can be deadly

Now, I want you to stop and think about this for a minute. First, I want to tell you that everything above is true. Next, I want you to think. Dihydrogen Monoxide.
Think about chemistry.
For those of you who are thinking, "say WHAT?" I congratulate you.
Most people do not realize what this is.
A 14-year old boy once used DHMO as a science project, asking people to sign a petition for a ban of dihydrgen monoxide. Most, about 43, signed. Six were undecided. Only 1 person saw DHMO for what it is. His project was labeled "How Gullible are We?"
