New Favorite Books

I just recently finished reading some VERY good books. I have heard tons about these stories, and debated for ages if I should buy them or not. Well, I finally did, and I love them! They are "Fairy Tale Retold" stories. What the author does is take snippets out of fairy tales- little quotations, and then base a very different story around them. These books are written by a Catholic author, but I'd recommend it to everyone! However, they do deal with some fairly mature themes, but in a very good way. Just a heads up. And my little "reviews" are just to get your curiousity. They aren't very good at all- I am so horrible at reviews and make the books sound so much worse than they actually are. "Once upon a time, in New York City", two sisters, Blanche and Rose, befriend a man nicknamed Bear. Who exactly is he? And why is he being followed?
